I’ve noticed that babies yawn a lot. One theory about contagious yawning is that it was to help synchronize sleep cycles (and is vestigial). Maybe infant yawning is an attempt to get the mother to sleep when the infant sleeps (a good idea, if you’re to get any sleep at all).
Somewhere between ages 4 and 6, children begin to be susceptible to yawning contagion themselves, perhaps signaling that they’re ready to start sleeping when the rest of the tribe sleeps.
Studies have also shown that baby yawns are adorable.
Yeehaw, it's another blog! I'll try and stick to topics relating to WordPress and Automattic, Inc. Of course, nothing here is edited or approved by Automattic or any other entity. These are my views. Your mileage may vary.
awww!
Congratulations Andy!
Oh! She’s wonderful! Congratulations all of you
Very cute! I love it!
Gosh, she got doubles from the “Cute Dept”.
Wow, that’s what it’s all about. A really, really productive yawn and no responsibilities.
Be careful. Making a child yawn on cue leads to Marco Polo.

You don’t suppose her yawn was triggered by the contagion of mine?
Congratulations, Andy.
Really beautiful girl.
A big hug for the mother.
Sorry for the late catch up with this, but CONGRATS! She’s so cute. What a darling! And well trained already.
